Christmas Tree Switch On:

Thanks to everyone who turned out on a wintry night, this was a lively and sociable event. The mulled wine went down particularly well, after which carols were sung with great gusto! The children hung their festive decorations on the tree then switched the lights on, assisted by Rector Ralph Lawrence. With the sale of refreshments and raffle tickets the event broke even and thanks to the generous donation of refreshments and prizes, £70 was carried forward towards future costs. Thanks to David and Caroline Wakefield for sending Keith and Dean to help transport and set up the tree. Much appreciated!
