Defibrilator/Life Support Training

I now have the names of eight people who would like to revise or learn the skills to save a life in an emergency. We have a quote from Derwent Training and I would like to get on with applying for a lottery grant. We could apply to train up to 40 people, however, so I want to make sure everyone who is interested gets a chance.  In three hours, you could learn enough to make the difference between life and death for somebody you care about. Please contact me on 01773 521557 or  chrisandmike@w3z.co.uk to register your interest. Christine

Picnic on the Green – Open Meeting on 22 May at 7pm

What lovely Spring weather we have been enjoying lately and Summer is fast approaching. Planning for the community Picnic on the Green has been continuing behind the scenes. We want this to be a real village affair and a genuine opportunity to meet, have fun and start to shape our future. We have live music, a great raffle with some super prizes, activities for all the family with support from the Police, Fire Service and Red Cross. Sadly, this year sees the final Well Dressing in Brackenfield but this doesn't need to be the end of the road. If there is an appetite for doing things in the village this could be a new beginning. There is an open meeting on Monday 22 May at 7pm in the Church Hall. If you are curious or if you could donate a prize, suggest people we need to invite or offer any help on the day, please come and join us for a drink and a chat.
