"Stories of Footpaths and Folk"
Richard, Local Rambling Raconteur Richard is a former headteacher at Ashover School who has lived and worked in the area for much of his adult life. In retirement, he voluntarily involved himself with the 50+ miles of public rights of way in Ashover Parish. Richard liaises with anybody who's interested: landowners, riders, horse and bike riders, walkers, The Ramblers, Peak and Northern Footpath Society, farmers and business owners. He also talks with The Parish Council, The County Council and The District Council and groups from neighbouring parishes! Richard was an excellent source of advice and support during the development of Brackenfield Heritage Trail. He lives with his wife in Littlemoor.
