Picnic On The Green

We are continuing to plan for this village event on Sunday 16th July 2017. We hope that as many Brackenfield residents as possible will come along with family, friends and a picnic from 1pm to 5pm. Well behaved pets on a lead are welcome. Children are also welcome to come with their parents/guardians, who will be responsible for them at all times. Please remember to bring picnic chairs if you need them and/or rugs and umbrellas if the weather is unkind (or for sun shade!) The Church Hall will be open so we can use the toilets and in case of wet weather. There will be opportunity for chatting with neighbours old and new, to find out what is going on in Brackenfield and how to get involved and to suggest ideas for the future. There will be information about the Neighbourhood Plan Process and Village Association.

There will also be plenty of music and fun:

• Fire engine and crew from Alfreton
• Our local Police Community Support Officer, Kate Hodnett
• Red Cross First Aider on site
• Drinks on sale, provided by The Plough
• Local History tales and stories
• Village Map...where do we live
• Music provided by Gypsy Jazz
• Family Treasure Hunt
• Welly Wanging competition
• Raffle (main prize, a night in The Lake District)
• Coconut shy; skittles
• Face Painting
• Drawing and colouring

Save The Date: Sunday Afternoon July 16th 2017 from 1pm to 5pm. Bring your own picnic for an afternoon of music, fun, meeting neighbours old and new. Activities for children. For more information contact chrisandmike@w3z.co.uk
